This poster is made for the Andersen Horticultural Library. For the classical pose of the figure I was inspired by the painting "Venus & Mars" by Botticelli. The flower crown was inspired from "The Young Bacchus" by Caravaggio and the flowers from studying the library itself. I recognize that black and brown people have always been put on the periphery, so I wanted to make a piece with a black person at the center in order to be the change I want to see in the world.
